被告人林××（香港人）自2004年以来，先后雇佣了何××（香港人）等几十人，在深圳市利用从赌博网站获取的“某皇冠”、“某东方2”等网络赌博操作系统开设赌场，逐步发展为亚洲最大的网络赌王，是亚洲网络赌球中呼风唤雨的人物，参赌人员遍布世界各地，涉案金额达数十亿人民币。
2007年8月，多名被告人先后被捕。此案因涉及被告人多为香港地区居民，涉及地域广，涉案金额大，被公安部列为督办案件，此案也被称为足球界反赌的导火线。
【盛恒成果】
一审抚顺市中级人民法院判决其中六名被告人均三年以上有期徒刑。一审判决生效后，六名被告人均提起上诉，本所十二名律师分别为六名被告人担任辩护。为了使被告人获得从轻判决，本所辩护律师为此进行了一系列调查取证工作，充分研究了网络赌球案件中电子证据的特点。同时，本所律师与辽宁省高级人民法院、最高人民法院针对该案进行了多次沟通。最终经辽宁省高级人民法院请示最高人民法院，改判决其中的三名主犯为缓刑。
